WASHINGTON, November 9, 2023–In response to President Biden’s Executive Order 14081, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) have posted the following two documents on the Unified Website for Biotechnology Regulation. The agencies issued a report on stakeholder comments on the Coordinated Framework for the Regulation of Biotechnology. The agencies also posted plain-language information on agency roles, responsibilities, and processes for the regulation of products of biotechnology. Each agency provided updates on the availability of the reports to their respective stakeholders.
