The National Detector Dog Training Center in Newnan, GA is seeking experienced and passionate professionals to spearhead the design, development, and delivery of specialized dog detector training programs. You’ll work with a variety of stakeholders, including APHIS’ Plant Protection and Quarantine program, the Department of Homeland Security, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection, tailoring canine training protocols to each agency’s unique needs and ensuring our detector dogs can proficiently identify items of agricultural concern. By sourcing and recruiting potential canines from shelters, animal rescues, breeders, and private owners, you’ll give these dedicated animals a vital purpose: safeguarding our nation’s agriculture and natural resources from harmful pests and diseases.
