Dear Dennis,
December came quickly, and our Marketing Team is working hard to promote AGW-certified holiday sales, gift boxes and promotions. We’re keeping our eye on social media so that we can share your posts far and wide, so be sure to tag us (@AGreenerWorld on Facebook and Twitter and @AGreenerWorldorg on Instagram) so that we see your posts.
Many of you completed the 2022 AGW Producer Survey last month, and we are grateful for your thoughts and feedback. We are analyzing responses to inform our program offerings and services for the coming year, and in the meantime, I wanted to share a glimpse of your responses to the following question: “If you could wave a magic wand and change one thing about food and farming in general, what would it be?” Many of you want to see more consumer education about farming, food production and food labeling. You want more people to understand the true costs of food production. You also want to see avenues to increase farm profitability and support for independent farmers. We look forward to diving further into our survey results so that we can educate more consumers and help meet your needs in 2023.
This isn’t the last you’ll hear from us before 2022 comes to a close, but until our next update — thank you for the work that you do every day.
Upcoming Webinar: Understanding Meat Labels for Producers
If you’re a farmer or rancher interested in learning about meat label claims—as well as how to go about getting state and/or federal approval for your product to carry certain claims (and how AGW-certified producers can use AGW’s labeling services at no extra cost), consider joining us for a webinar on December 6th at 6:30pm Eastern. North Carolina Cooperative Extension is hosting a discussion on this topic and will be joined by representatives from AGW, USDA and NCDA&CS. Learn more and pre-register here.
New Blog: Silent Killer
Be sure to check out one of our latest blog posts, originally featured in Sustainable Farming. Silent Killer addresses Caprine Arthritis and Encephalitis (or CAE) in dairy goats including clinical symptoms as well as actions you can take to address your herd.
Merchandise: Greeting Cards
We’re thrilled to offer these AGW-branded greeting cards (see image at the top of this email), perfect for the holidays or any occasion! Our 5 x 7 inch cards are blank on the inside, printed on natural 100# cover stock, and come with matching envelopes in packs of 5. Choose your favorite animal or go for the multi-pack with one of each. Proceeds support our nonprofit work to empower sustainable solutions in agriculture.
