A position with USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) as a Veterinary Medical Officer might be right for you! We have one opening in either Manhattan, KS, or Orient Point, NY.
In this role, you will collaborate and coordinate with the Manager of the National Animal Vaccine and Veterinary Countermeasures Bank and the North American Foot and Mouth Disease Vaccine Bank to optimize testing and purchasing efforts. You will also implement and maintain internationally accepted quality control and quality assurance programs. Additionally, you will oversee all testing on foot-and-mouth disease vaccines and vaccine antigen concentrates to ensure the safety, potency, and purity of these products.
