Dear Dennis,
Unprecedented heat waves. Drought-fueled wildfires. Extreme storms and flooding.
Weather patterns are intensifying as climate change shapes our new reality.
Now add to that the challenges of ongoing inflation, supply chain disruptions, processing plant backups, labor shortages and an ongoing global pandemic.
These challenges have far-reaching impacts, and many farmers are struggling.
As a nonprofit organization supporting farmers who are working to raise sustainably produced food for our communities, we recognize the critical role they play in helping build a truly sustainable, regenerative, high-welfare and transparent food system.
However, the last two years have been incredibly difficult for farmers, ranchers, and producers, who are suffering financial losses due to the combined impacts of inflation, severe weather and natural disasters, COVID-19, lost markets, and supply chain challenges.
Farmers have been there for us through all of this, and now it’s our turn to be there for them. We are looking to raise $25,000 by September 30 in order to help establish a new AGW Relief Fund for Farmers.
This Relief Fund will offer emergency support directly to farmers who are victims of natural disasters and who will immediately benefit from your gift. It will also provide economic support by offering assistance with AGW audit and certification fees to producers who have been hard hit by the cumulative effects of all the challenges over these past couple of years.
Please take a moment to make any donation you can, today, in order to help us get this fund up and going. The challenges we all face are not single-solution issues, but you can do one thing today to help.
And please share with others who may want to help, as well. |
