The Beef series continues with the last educational meeting to be held on Tuesday evening, April 19th at 6:00 pm at the Ag Center in Louisburg in the Annex!
“Reproduction, Calving, and Mineral/Hoof Management” will be the topic meeting focus.
Dr. Dan Poole, NCSU Animal Science Professor, will speak on beef cattle reproduction along with a demonstration on how to deliver a calf properly (also dealing with calving dystocia.) Ag Agents, Paul Gonzalez (Sampson) and Martha Mobley (Franklin) will discuss minerals and hoof management. Shauna Somerville, ABS representative, will discuss their new bull offerings (semen).
As of today, we have 21 producers who have pre-registered for the sponsored beef dinner meeting at 6:00 p.m., followed by the educational program. We have space for a few more producers so register today.
