Dear Dennis,

Happy November—and hoping this month got off to a good start. Special note for AGW-certified producers: since the holidays will be here before you know it, please be sure to see our call for your seasonal specials below. This week, we’re also passing along tips you can share with your customers on how to make greener choices and support sustainable farms—and we’re highlighting production resources for all the pasture and range-based hog producers out there. Have a great week.

FOR AGW-CERTIFIED PRODUCERS: Holiday Season is Here – Promoting your Seasonal Specials
The holiday season is right around the corner! We’ve already seen some of you announcing seasonal specials and holiday markets on social media, and we’d like to help spread the word. Do you have any upcoming promotions like holiday markets, gift baskets, bundles, special orders, coupons, promo codes, etc.? AGW-certified producers should have gotten an email from Callie Casteel last week about how we can help you make sure you’re getting the most mileage out of your holiday offerings. If you haven’t yet, please take a minute to respond so we can send holiday business your way. Any questions or need a re-send, let us know at info.

A Greener World = Good Food!!
Congratulations to these AGW-certified producers and 2022 Good Food Award Finalists: Lady Edison (using Certified #AnimalWelfareApprovedbyAGW #NonGMO pork from the North Carolina Natural Hog Growers Association), Texas Iberico, Working Cows Dairy, Fraga Farmstead Creamery and Firefly Kitchens. Can’t wait for the awards ceremony this January! Read on to learn more about the finalists.

Certified Regenerative by AGW Pilot Progress
For those of you following along, we are now in the later stages of our pilot program for Certified Regenerative by AGW. This plan-based, farm-specific approach works with farmers to meet AGW’s rigorous regenerative standards while delivering a farmer-led plan toward their regenerative goals. We’ve gotten some amazing plans in from participating farms and are excited about announcing the first Certified Regenerative by AGW producers (and opening up the program more widely) in late 2021/early 2022. Thanks to participating farms for your help making this innovative program come to life. We look forward to sharing more soon.

Sincerely,
Emily Moose
