The families at the Interfaith Food Pantry

On Earth Day, feed people in need and support farms
Dear Rebecca,

Today is the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day, and there’s no better way to celebrate than by supporting sustainable farmers feeding people in need! The Interfaith Food Pantry in Portage County, Wisconsin serves around 230 families twice a month, where every $1 donated can provide three meals. Eggs are an essential, healthy, and inexpensive part of those meals. One of our amazing certified farms, Pigeon River Farm, is donating fresh eggs to help feed these families. Can you help?

Pigeon River Farm’s eggs come from chickens that are Certified Animal Welfare Approved by A Greener World, which means that they are raised outdoors on pasture and produce nutritious eggs containing three times as much vitamin E, seven times more beta-carotene, and twice the omega-3 fatty acids as conventional eggs—helping each family in need to stay healthy and strong. For every $10 you give, three dozen eggs will be given to the Interfaith Food Pantry and will go directly to families in need.

Thank you to each and every person who is able to give during these difficult times!

Wishing you a happy Earth Day,
