Focus On Farming from A Greener World
Agroforestry in Action!
Feeding ourselves sustainably in a changing world is leading to the rediscovery of ‘agroforestry,’ a collective name for land-use systems and technologies where woody perennials like trees and shrubs are deliberately used on the same land as agricultural crops or animals.

Agroforestry is actually a very old approach to food production and land management, with roots in the tropics. Over the last 50 years, it has been increasingly researched, adopted and promoted in regions all over the world. Agroforestry systems have benefits for conservation, production, profitability and risk management, and can help producers diversify income sources and meet operational goals.
