Dear BRS Stakeholder,
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) Biotechnology Regulatory Services (BRS) will hold its annual Stakeholder Meeting (in-person and via webinar) on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at the USDA Center at Riverside, 4700 River Road, Riverdale, MD 20737. Registration will open at 9:30 am (EST) and the meeting will be held from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm (EST).
The meeting is open to all, and is held annually to foster transparency and engagement in the BRS program. Please join us as we reflect on the past year and look forward to FY 2019; discuss implementation of business process improvements; review biotechnology research, education, and outreach—domestically and internationally; and present a “sneak preview” of the future APHIS electronic permitting system.
In 2019, BRS will transition from the current ePermit system, to the new APHIS eFile system. In our afternoon session (1:30-3:30 pm) APHIS eFile will be demonstrated and discussed, including plans for the timing of the transition, and with ample opportunity for questions.
Please register today to attend the meeting and view the agenda by going to the BRS 2018 Stakeholder Meeting Information Webpage.
Thank you for your continued interest in Biotechnology Regulatory Services. We look forward to your participation!
