Protecting History
E. McDonald “Mac” Berryman doesn’t just farm in a historic area. He is an integral part of the story of Virginia agriculture.
His ancestors arrived in 1630, and Mac is the 10th generation of Berrymans to work the land in the Commonwealth. Mac manages one of the county’s largest agricultural operations, planting more than 5,000 total acres in peanuts, corn, soybeans, wheat, barley and cotton.
