Contact: USDA Press ADVISORY: Secretary Perdue in North Dakota TOMORROW (Washington, D.C., March 8, 2018) – U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue will travel to North Dakota TOMORROW, Friday, March 9th following an invitation from Senator John Hoeven. The Secretary will participate in a series of tours and meetings with local officials and agriculture leaders. This will be Secretary Perdue’s first official visit to North Dakota and the 34th state he has visited since being sworn in as Secretary of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Secretary Perdue Tours USDA Agriculture Research Center WHAT: Secretary Perdue will tour the USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Red River Valley Agriculture Research Center, accompanied by Governor Doug Burgum, Senators Hoeven and Heidi Heitkamp, Representative Kevin Cramer, and ARS staff. After the tour, the Secretary will hold a media availability.
