Contact: USDA Press ADVISORY: Secretary Perdue to Attend ARS Groundbreaking Ceremony in Georgia TOMORROW (Washington, D.C., November 2, 2017) – U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue will deliver the keynote address TOMORROW, Friday, November 3rd, at the groundbreaking ceremony for a new research facility at the Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Southeast Poultry Research Laboratory located at the U. S. National Poultry Research Center in Athens, Georgia. The new facility will expand capabilities to respond to highly pathogenic avian influenza outbreaks through providing research information for eradication and control.
