| Dear Nahid,
May is always a busy time on the farm with successional warm season plantings going in, bountiful cool season harvests, and the promise of a productive growing season in the air. Unfortunately, the harshness of summer is just around the corner and being prepared is essential. Tomatoes are a favorite among many consumers but, in many cases, the least favorite of farmers. Field production of tomatoes is challenging and disease creeps in all too quickly. Learn how to prepare yourself for the plight of field tomato production in this edition of The Grower’s Toolbox and increase your chances of a good marketable harvest.
Cheers,

Karen McSwain, CFSA’s Director of Farm Services and Food Systems
