Hi Rebecca,
I hope all is well! I wanted to follow-up with you to see if you’ve had a chance to look over the information I passed along about AWA. Do you have any questions about the program, our standards, or farm certification? Just let me know and I’ll be happy to get them addressed.
Take care,

Subject: Thanks for your Interest in AWA!
Hi Rebecca,
Thank you for your interest in AWA! To summarize what we do, Animal Welfare Approved is a free third party certification and food label; we audit and certify family farms that practice high-welfare farming, outdoors on pasture or range. Certified farms use the AWA label as a way to add value and to assure customers of high-welfare farming practices. Consumer Reports recentlyfound AWA to be the only "Highly Meaningful" food label for farm animal welfare, outdoor access, and sustainability.
AWA certification is:
· Exclusively for independent, family farmers and cooperatives of family farmers
· The only pasture- and range-based certification program
· Completely free—there are no fees for farm audits, consultations, marketing or technical support
Here are just a few of the resources that we provide to certified farms:
· Marketing support, including press, social media and online support, AWA marketing materials, and market development
· Free listing in our popular online directory
· Labeling support – including assistance with design and approval
· Technical support and guidance from our expert technical staff
· AWA Certified Grassfed, an optional additional accreditation for Certified AWA farmers and ranchers who are also raising certain ruminants according to a grassfed feeding protocol
If you are interested certifying one or more of the species on your farm, please take a look at our standards. You can apply online using the Farmer Application link on our website. There is also a handy guide to the certification process in the Farmers section.
Please let me know if you have any questions about the program, our standards, or certification and I’ll be glad to get them addressed. I look forward to working with you and hope to have you in the program!
Sincerely,
Callie Casteel
