Summer fun to teach kids where their food comes from

Dear Rebecca,

School is almost out (hot diggity dog)! In this edition of the Stew, we’ve got lots of fun things to do with the young ones in your life this summer.

At CFSA, we think that knowing where your food comes from and how it was grown is one of the most important things you can teach young children. And so, for this edition of the Stew, we’ve got a delicious recipe for Ensalada Mixta from C’est si Bon! that is a great way to get kids involved in the kitchen. You’re going to love our list of good books to show children (and grandchildren!) where their food comes from, as well as the awesome activities to teach kids about food and farms from the fun folks at 4-H. Plus two inspiring stories about the farms on the Upstate Farm Tour, coming up June 18 & 19 from 1-6PM!

Make this summer delicious!,
