| Dear Dennis,
AGW attended Expo West 2026 in Anaheim, CA last week to highlight the work of our certified farmers, ranchers and brands. Throughout the event, we met buyers looking for certified products, brands interested in certification, and supply‑chain partners to strengthen markets for AGW‑certified products and share the integrity behind our labels. In a panel discussion, we explained how consumer expectations around transparency, sustainability, and animal welfare are reshaping the marketplace—and why our certifications are the most effective way to meet those expectations. Our presence at this year’s event was bigger than ever (here’s the full agenda if you’re curious what we’ve been up to) and our team is excited to jump into all the follow-up with new connections.
With Spring right around the corner, we know that your days are full, so please read on for a few brief but important news bits from our team.
New Blog: Building Momentum with a Welcoming Approach
One of AGW’s most recent blogs, Building Momentum with a Welcoming Approach, in response to a report from Drinks Business highlights how organic and regenerative farming can grow faster when the movement stays practical, inclusive, and farmer‑focused. Instead of rigid labels or gatekeeping, real progress comes from clear standards, transparency, and meeting producers where they are. Meaningful change happens when more farmers can participate—not fewer.
For Farmers in New England: American Bird Conservancy Launches Pilot Program for Safer Seeds
American Bird Conservancy has launched a new Untreated Seed Pilot Program to help U.S. farmers access corn, soybean, and cereal seeds free from neonicotinoid coatings. By choosing untreated seeds, farmers can reduce harmful pesticide impacts on beneficial insects and the bird species that depend on them. It’s a practical step that supports healthier ecosystems.
