In a crowded field of incredible invertebrates, bumble bees are surely among the most beloved. Large, fuzzy and (usually) docile, these super pollinators are fun to find. That’s why we are delighted to share that the Bumble Bee Atlas is now available in New Mexico, recruiting volunteer community scientists to help fill in critical gaps in our understanding of where these animals occur and what they need to survive.

Bumble Bee Atlas Launches in New Mexico

Invertebrate enthusiasts in New Mexico can now join one of the Xerces Society’s flagship programs, the Bumble Bee Atlas. The program aims to document the locations and habitat needs of native bumble bees across the state, and is supported in New Mexico by the Carroll Petrie Foundation.
