| Fall is a wonderful time to appreciate how nature finds its own balance when we leave well enough alone. In a garden without pesticides, predators like lacewings, whose delicate eggs are pictured above, quickly find their way in to take care of the pests. And if we leave the leaves where they fall (or rake them aside into a pile of mulch), hidden treasures like the cocoon of a beautiful luna moth can lie in wait for spring. |
