Here’s the top news of what we think farmers in NC and SC need to know

Dear Nahid,
Happy September, and National Food Safety Education Month. And in case you missed it, it is also National Honey Month and National Chicken Month! Because we’re all about produce safety here at CFSA, we are sharing a number of useful food safety resources in this month’s newsletter, so be sure to check them out!
The fall is also a great time to start planning for next year. There are many software programs out there that can help you do that, and our fabulous Organic Research Coordinator often recommends AgPlan, a free business and farm planning resource created by the University of Minnesota. You can read more about the program below, and watch her interview with Curtis Mahnken to get more information on the benefits of AgPlan.
Cheers,

Karen McSwain, CFSA Associate Executive Director for Programs
PS – Do you raise Thanksgiving turkeys? We’ll share our annual blog post (one of our most widely-seen posts of the year) next month of which CFSA member-farms around NC and SC consumers can purchase a pasture-raised turkey from. Contact our membership coordinator to join, renew, or get the details! |
