Conservation Effects Assessment Project: A Study of Voluntary Conservation’s Impact across Our Nation’s Working Lands
For more than 80 years, NRCS has helped people make investments in their operations by promoting voluntary conservation practices guided by reliable, objective science.
Much of our understanding about the effectiveness of these conservation practices comes from the Conservation Effects Assessment Project (CEAP), a joint effort led by NRCS in partnership with other federal agencies, universities, non-governmental organizations, and agricultural producers. CEAP quantifies the benefits of conservation practices impacting croplands, grazing lands, wetlands, wildlife, and watersheds across the nation.
Whether you’re interested in sediment loss reductions or breeding bobwhite densities, CEAP has a story for you. Click below to find it.
